The Medical Assistant course offers students an in-depth, comprehensive education to work as part of a healthcare team. A five-day interactive DOD course that increases attendee’s knowledge & skills to support inter-governmental and inter-agency response to operational environments utilizing expert presentations, table-top exercises, and discussion between DOD, Federal, State, and Local partners in support of National Preparedness Goals. The course provides the necessary training for deploying medical personnel to assist with the immediate and advanced care of wounded soldiers at Level I and II trauma treatment facilities and operational environments.

The Clinical Medical Assistant program can be completed in 16 weeks including a 160 hour externship. Students will receive exclusive access to job openings within Adventist Health upon completion of the program. The program includes a certificate of completion, CPR certification, and an onsite externship at a physician’s office. Students also have the opportunity to earn NHA certifications in Phlebotomy, EKG, and MAA (Medical Administrative Assistant) during their course.
